With the advent of 3D TV, the whole viewing concept has taken a different direction. All thanks to the polarized 3D glasses, that has revolutionized the viewing experience. It is 3D glasses that make the 3D illusion since, it confines the light which reaches human eye. You would have been hearing about 3D for ages but the content has picked up recently.

It would not be an overestimation to say that 3D technologies are impeccable as, Avatar is an apt example to judge. However, there are some drawbacks of 3D glasses that a watcher must have noticed it, such as dimness of the image and difficulty in viewing with a tilted head causing color change and ghosting as well. 3D watchers also suffer from headaches, eye pain and nausea.

Fortunately, there is an array of 3D glasses available today, depending on the technology. The first one is Shutter Glass technology used by Samsung 3D TV. This technology’s 3D glasses are troublesome to watch for long duration since, it requires batteries to operate, making the glasses heavy. Another technology is FPR (Film Patterned Retarder), which has wide-angle view ability (even in a laid-back position). Moreover, as FPR do not need batteries hence, its 3D glasses are lightweight, making the viewing experience comfortable than ever.

To conclude, it is significant to understand the pros and cons of each advanced technology present, before you think to buy 3D TV and glasses.you think to buy 3D TV and glasses.

  2. hi anonymous... shutter glasses are not so heavy, comfortable to use them but i don`t why are people criticizing it. i have one year experience of shutter glasses, even i did not get any problem till now with SG glasses

  3. Hi Dear,

If you read the post, the ultimate theme,in the final analysis was to share the information on the blogosphere.Samsung3D glasses could be nice but how would you react to a better and much easy-on-eyes option of 3D Glasses which weighs only 16 grams. In other words, half of the weight of conventional 3D glasses. Not only this, you can end up saving your hard-earned money by buying cakes for your family for a happy weekends 3D V viewing,as the price of LG 3D glasses is so less as compared to its competitors.
I understand your concern but Sony 3D glasses are battery operated but the LG ones are battery free.So the load on the nose-bone is much lessened. If you have been using shutter glasses for a while now,may be it is the time to witness what's happening in the improved market of 3D viewing.Much has been changed since you bought your favorite 3D TV.May be this is more relaxing and entertaining.

    Thanks,
